Merry Christmas Nanny

Let's see if I can get through this without completely crying all over my keyboard. My Nanny is getting that much older and is now living in a Assisted living. We went to decorate her room, my Step Mom came up with an amazing idea to make a Christmas tree decorated with stockings with everyone's name on them and making a Family Tree holiday style. It was very impressive to have 4 generations all in one room. I hope that it helps her see all the lives she help create, it sure helped me very therapeutic. I recommend it for anyone that has a Nanny or Grampy that might need a pick me up over the holidays. More pictures are to come.

I xo this project. Copic markers are really hard for me, I practice quiet a bit bt never feel like I got it so I was so pleased that this turned out do nice. I did cut the lil' girl out and glued he on a Pink card stock. I'm using this as my Wedding Anniversary card. I hope Hubby loved it!

I remember .... there was something wrong how come we were not getting any calls into the center ... nothing ... how was that possible? Than we hard that a plane had flown into one of the Trade Centers in NY. Many flocked to the cafeteria to see how can this be. It was so quiet ... than as if it could not get any more unreal another plane flew in, " Oh my god there is another plane." I said with as my breath was sucked completely out of my lungs. I said it so quietly but it was so quite it echoed through the room. I turned and there was about 40 of us there and it was so much shock. I called Martin because I had no idea what else to do. We answered some very sad calls over the next couple of days so many people hoping that we could help or that there was calls made from the lost loved ones Cell phones maybe in the rubble. I will always remember when our world changed. I will always remember.

The vinyl lettering went well, this was covered with tape because the teacher requested that all labels were covered with the but I bet he never seen custom books before , LOL! I hope the first day of school was great for everyone.

So my girls always want new things and crafty things that we see in the craft store so when we saw the SMASH books in the store for 12.99 ( which were not too bad a price ) but for a 8 and 6 yr old not likely, they just change their mind too fast. We mad some really nice books and I let them raid my craft room for some supplies, they love it! I highly recommend it, we even made one as a present and the little girl has used it all summer.

I absolutely love this card. My step dad is into 80's music and plays in a band so it was fitting to use Indie Art cricut cartridge for this design. My favorite part is the printing on the cassette.

I wanted to make something different for my Mom, she still loves to get things I make. I enjoyed making this doing something different.
I used Ultra thick embossing powder to create the glassy look.
I glued a pin on the back so she can wear it on her shirt or coat.

Made this for end of year for our favorite teacher Mme.Jennifer. We have had the good fortune of having Mme.Jennifer for both our children. I made the design on my gypsy using Plantin Locker talk, Graphically speaking Cricut cartridges. This was a bigger card about 6x6. Worth every inch.

Friends of ours have a lil' Boston Terror that got hurt and need surgery so I made them a card since their doggies are like their children.

Cricut cartridge: Create a Critter was used for the dog ( 2.67x2.77 )and the bone (4.18x3.06).

Stamp: My Pink Stamper - Everyday Sentiments 6x8 I used the "We sure miss you ...GET WELL SOON!!" I just cut it carefully and used the, "GET WELL SOON!!" part.

I used French Manor which is truly understated and would love to see more crafter use. Top not die from Stampin' Up. Provo craft embossing die. Sorry Ribbon unknown. I did 3 layers with this on my Gypsy first was the base than I programmed the bodice twice one with detail one with out and layered together.

We were at Costco and found some Silly bandz really cheap they were discontinued for $5 for 250 of them so I got out my baggies and make 50 packs with 5 bandz in each one. the girls handed them out on the last day of school and they were a big hit.

I was asked to making a box for some VIP's coming to N.S. than I added a tag that made me feel like they would understand what it means to be here. History and lots of ocean. I never traveled much and I know that there is lots a special places in the world. I know that Nova Scotia is a special place that holds you to the bone, sticks with you. This Tim Holtz style tag really shows how Nova Scotia feels to me.
